That'd be awesome, since they film so many shows, they should do something like a Marillion Live Archive (super nicely presented box set with 6 or so live albums from different eras)

Also, I too need a turntable, my dad got me the Up The Downstair/On The Sunday Of Life 2LP's for christmas last year, but all I've been able to do is look at them

^The only reason I haven't bought any of those Kscope PT vinyls yet is because I have no means to play them! LOL

I really want to get Lightbulb Sun one, if only for the big art.

The only other records I own are Kayo Dot's Blue Lambency Downward, Dowsing Anemone With Copper Tongue, and their split with Bloody Panda. My dad has about 2 or 3 hundred 70's prog LP's as well.

My music library is bigger than my dads! But I am more of a music freak than he was in his youth, so... He does have a very nice stash of classic rock and prog LPs though. I want to buy them off him! He never uses them!

i own like 5 or 6 lp records, because i keep the rule that i will always buy music on cd when possible. if there are some bonus music or vinyl only release i grab the vinyl. i have so far 2 bass communion records but nothing else from sw.

also i'm not too bothered that they didn't release the rah shows. i saw the incident live so i don't need it on cd or dvd. the real live experience is probably 10 times more powerful. of course, they could make a cd, but it would miss all the visual that is almost as important as the music (especially on the incident tour). if they would do a dvd it would take very much time and money to make a visual and sonical masterpiece as anesthetize. some artists choose to release live dvds almost every year or so, but they usually end up being not as good in sound quality and not even trying to be beautiful in picture.

i'm just saying that i'd rather have good quality release with somewhat different versions of the songs on cd (we lost the skyline, coma divine), or then the complete package (anesthetize). of course you can't get this ever year but i don't need that. porcupine tree & sw have taken enough money from me alreadySmile

Awww, thanks Joel!

28 already? Ah well, I beat Cobain and Hendrix (both died at 27). Lol.

You're never too old to rock!

New update on the PT twitter:

BBC story on a best drummer poll that had very little to do with talent and everything to do with fan power http://bbc.in/c0x91c

Jordison is noted for simultaneously playing two bass drums

Never heard of that before...

It's great! Rigid digibook packaging, with a red finish. Photos of all the bandmembers, and track listing and details. Looks very nice next to the other PT discs on my shelf. Now, please SW, will you stop releasing stuff just for a few months? LOL Need to get my budget back on track! I think after this Recordings reissue, I'm safe...for now.

I think I'll pass on the Recordings re-release, after all, I have a lot of other albums I want

Man, next year's gonna be hell on our wallets... SW/Mikael album, Blackfield III, new SW solo, and who knows what else

^Same here, it hasn't been at all new for quite a while now

Some new stuff on the PT twitter regarding a new DVD:

  1. @AlbinoPriest Chicago: The Incident (55 mins), Bonnie the Cat, Russia On Ice, Stars Die, none on DVD before. But not enough for a new DVD. about 13 hours ago via TweetDeck in reply to AlbinoPriest
  2. Well we did say "yet"! Anestheztie only just came out. Remember when bands only made one live release every 4-5 studio records? Was good! about 14 hours ago via TweetDeck
  3. Our show in Chicago in April was filmed, including a complete performance of the Incident, but no plans to release it yet. about 14 hours ago via TweetDeck
