But what is musique actuelle?

I'm asking for Henry's sake but also for mine, as neither of us know what it is!

OK, now I know the hardest thing I'll have to do this year - single spaced, 15 page+ report dealing with planetary formation.

Meh.  I don't want to take a picture of it with a cell phone, so I have nothing I could take a picture of it with.

I PM'ed Henry about that though. He's supposed to know what it is by now.
Musique actuelle is like contemporary music, but improvised. A kind of (free) jazz....

Sadly, Mr. Bill Dixon died last night in his sleep at home. We have had the privilege to present his last concert on Saturday May 22nd during the 26th FIMAV 2010.

This concert was so beautiful and charged with such an emotive intensity!

Thank you so much to Mr. Dixon, his wife Sharon Vogel and all the musicians of his ensemble “Tapestries for Small Orchestra” for those moving moments that will stay in our memory for ever!

I suggest that you visit our website under the “Press Room” and “Photos” tabs, to share some of the images and the writings about that concert of a very grand ARTIST!

Yours,

Michel Levasseur
General and artistic director
