Open note to the driver of the District Line train who dumped us off at Dagenham East in the snow last night. You ensured us 3 times that there was a Hornchurch train 3 minutes behind. There wasn't.

I must say that I´m really upset by everything on TV here in Finland. I think there ain´t one good show running. It would be nice to sometimes watch something that even remotely funny or otherwise worth while, but everything just seems like complete rubbish to me.

That´s all I have at this time.

I inadvertently caught a few minutes of Celeb Strictly at the weekend... a ghastly new low in TV banality. Some guy with no natural co-ordination 'dancing' to The Rhythm of Life by Sammy Davis Jr and Jo Brand telling the Grumpy Old Women what great dancers they were despite the overwhelming visual evidence to the contrary.

I don't know how these people can bear to look at themselves in the mirror. If they had a shred of human diginity left they'd just do the decent thing and commit suicide.

Now THAT sounds like proper entertainment, particularly if we can vote on which useless Grade Z celeb gets to swing.

The good thing about this is that it's not just another cynical ploy to steal money from people, because they're short of cash. It's a genuine move to pursuade people to be more green, because our government really gives a sh*t about such things. Of course motorists will flock on to our wonderful trains in response to this, because the srvice is so reliable, and one of the most affordable in Europe. Another good thing about this proposal is that in the name of equality - very important to the coalition - the managing director of the company can pay the same levy as a part time contract cleaner earing 1000 times less than he/she.

^ we pay £29,300pa to EHDC in business rates (£250 of which is for a "kitchen" measuring 4' by 8' that constitutes 1 sink and 1 electric kettle) - levying another £3500 for 14 parking spaces is just backdoor 12% rate hike.

^ If it was a green tax or levy, then the money raised should go too addressing green issues....planting trees or something....I don't know. In this case it obviuosly won't.

Put lawn-chairs and picnic tables in the spaces and designate them "staff canteen"? - no doubt there is a business rate levy for that too. I can see large companies like ours bringing in Pay & Display machines to recoup this levy from their employees. Where I work, the bus service is appalling and expensive, and therefore not a viable alterantive to using the car, for most people. I'd be happier if they just said 'Look we need dosh, so we're going to raise it by doing this' rather than dressing it up as some good intentioned green initiative, which it is clearly not.

I'd like to moan about Car Insurance companies.

Only due to the fact that my car has recently been hit up the back, when I wasn't in it and the other vehicle didn't stop and there's no witnesses (well, there is but they didn't see the other vehicle).

It's looking likely that my lovely car may well be classed as a write-off due to its age.  The damage isn't that bad and it's drivable but the repairs may exceed the price of the car.

It just annoys me that an accident that was not my fault causes me to lose my car, when I cannot really afford to get another one right now.  I realise they may send me a cheque, but still.

Of course, I could get it repaired privately and yes it may cost me more than the car is worth but it's my car, I don't want it scrapped.

Anyhow, we shall wait and see what happens... I think I may have to remove my car stereo though.
