That would be interesting, don't know how plausible it is though. I'm groovesharking Ascension, I need more Coltrane. |

anything I listen to as firmly rooted in jazz - specifically the old be-bop and swing and standards - as Coltrane's stuff sounds like to me, I don't find in the slightest bit difficult to listen to. Stuff like, say, Miles Davis' fusion period, is a little more difficult, IMO, because it's more abstract and less straight-up jazz. Doesn't have the same flow |

I agree with you there. I like the idea of soaking in the culture of the place and people. I guess it's always better to have spoken beforehand with a local, or meet a local there to discover the most interesting places. Like, when I was in London, I did do the typical tourist things, but perhaps the moments I remember the best weren't that at all. Actually, this is the place I always talk about when I talk about going to London, and it was recommended by this British dude at my uni before I left. Gordon's Wine Bar Same with Prag... couldn't remember the name of the pub I was in, but it looked dodgy, yet the food was amazing. And Urquell Pilsner on tap... well... yum. Best night of that trip. |

Best food is always from the most hole-in-the-wall places.

Sure. Doubtful? Maybe. I am 100% serious though. Anyone I can get that would be willing to do this, I will do it absolutely. Exactly June. Like this insane europe trip I'm talking about. Touristy is cool, but also just really absorbing the culture and local things. I'd love it. |

Yeah I have a friend who spent 6 months backpacking across Europe right after high school. I'm jealous, but really I couldn't give up my scholarships for something like that |

I didn't do the whole backpacking thing, but I lived in Denmark for a year after high school. Did take the opportunity to visit a couple of other countries. Not enough though.

Lucky! Its still something. And Denmark sounds cool. We all know my love for Scandinavia.
I can wait 4 years for Colin to finish school, but its gotta be done around then. I'll be 25,26 and may not be able to get away with a european backpacking trip for much longer. |

ESPN just reported the most hilarious stat ever. The Yankees are 12 and 0 and have outscored their opponents by 62 runs without A-ROID in the line-up. Sounds like maybe he is holding them back. |
