No. And to hear many people tell it, it's entirely Fartbama's fault.

Not exactly a simple answer, because it depends on how one determines what economic recovery looks like.

I'm afraid we really have an economy seriously gamed to make the few rich at the expense of the many. The only way for it to improve in any meaningful way is to get back into balance. How we do that or even if we need to do that is of course subject to debate...

I think it will recover someday...it has to. People need to start buying products built in this country again to get the money back here in this country and put our employees back to work. The more that is purchased that is built here the more it will attract getting these companies that sent their manufacturing overseas to come back here. Once we keep our money in our borders we will be good again.

Exactly. Do you mean the boom of the late '90s and early '00s? Because that was built on sand, so we won't be seeing that again for a while. But unemployment will probably rebound within 5 years.

Not if our government decides to keep printing money out of nowhere with nothing backing it.

We are headed for the 'high tech feudal system' by design and to accomplish this, the middle class must be eliminated. This has been pretty much accomplished by the money controllers through the creation of debt and inflation of which we all got sucked into. The only way to change this would be to scrap the debt, tear up the trade agreements, and create a monied system backed up with solid wealth. Of course that's not going to happen save for a natural disaster that puts us virtually back to the stone age. The people in control are it seems going to have their way with us and create their utopia with a sub class of slaves (those of us left) beneath them. Right now we are going through the transformation stage which is going to be quite chaotic over the next 20 or 30 years. More and more people will lose their source of income and more and more will become dependant on the state. When the chaos and the turmoil becomes impossible to deal with the purpetrators of the crime will come forward with a solution that most people will beg for for. All you have to do is go back in to history and you will discover that this has happened before but not on as large of a scale. Those that don't know history are always doomed to repeat it, therefore the more things change, the more things stay the same. The group Kansas got it right in the song 'Sparks Of The Tempest' off of the album 'Point Of Know Return'. Just read the words for yourself.

I don't subscribe to the 2012 thing. It's just another rouse that the controllers use to keep people guessing. While the controllers are doing their dirty work they like to keep us guessing or distracted with sports etc etc. Old techniques, that with the invention of television really turned the science of controlling people into the science of controlling the masses. Relegion was used for that in the past, but now with electronics and communications they got us hook line and sinker and with virtually the same indoctrination system. Look at everyone today, they are strapped to their laptops, their i-pods, and i-phones. It's a shame really.

There is no timeline in the poll. so I am forced to vote yes. It will eventually recorver, but as I said in the Libertarian thread, I don't think it will happen until Obama leaves office.
