It's because I don't have one... Really though, it's Jordan... but feel free to call me whatever you like On second thought, scratch that . Call me Jordan or ptkc. Or Dali. Or Sal.

The only real discussion we've had about pop music recently was about Genesis.

What if we talked about Talking Heads then? Would that be acceptable stoney?

Because everyone's too busy avoiding that music like the plague. Pop-era Genesis has good songs. It's a good thing to appreciate catchy songwriting, you know. It opens up horizons.

I don't like straight-up pop or some pop rock, but I don't mind if my music has some pop-influenced vocals or styles.

Well, I'm not arguing with you there, but it seems like you're saying that since we haven't talked about it, we all hate it.

I suppose (I mean it's not like I see myself as la policia de musica so talk about whatever) but for whatever reason I don't really feel like talking about individual songs or bands that much, usually. I don't usually see the conversations going past "Hey this song is pretty good." "Oh really, I should check that out." "Yeah it's good, man." I can sink my teeth into musical culture and stuff, but all the individual band talk kind of disinterests me, especially when this is the RIO room.

You're right, that pretty much was the implication.

There are like hundreds of other bands we weren't talking about either. That doesn't mean we hate them.

Oh. I got your point now. I'd give anything to dispel the fact that this can be more than just the RIO room though.

I like Talking Heads, I don't like pop music, therefore, Talking Heads are not pop, they are prog.

For pop music, personally, I loves me some Billy Corgan & Co., early-U2 (LOL I'm not Walter), and Dave Matthews Band.
