Dean, I think your above posts are excellent, certainly a personal attack is easy to spot, but also, these kind of outrageous accusations against a whole group are not conducive to a good discussion and really it would be best if all those involved would quit making broad baseless accusations.

To put things simply, lets not have anymore statements such as theists and/or atheists are: (take your pick)

stupid
crazy
sick
disturbed
shallow
cowardly
etc

I think if you guys can avoid broad meaningless swipes like that we can get things on track.

^ I would certainly agree that those swipes are not conducive to having a good discussion - I may have made some such statements in the past, and they were properly returned by the opposite site in most cases, but I also always favored specific topics. Take my post about the connection between Jesus and Original Sin, which is still unanswered while people focus instead on how many threads I start.

You should start another thread
"One had to be a Newton to notice that the moon is falling, when everyone sees that it doesn't fall. "

Walking the line between troll and legitimate question, I like it.

After reading through the posts some more, I think the other thing that is counter-productive is people trying to sum up and/or restate someone's previous thoughts or statements.

Just let people speak for themselves and don't try to sum up or represent someone's thoughts in a purposely misleading way.

Well thank God!
With that out of the way, this thread can be opened up to political debate!

Honestly, one party authoritarian state is efficient, but really...... I think absolute monarchy could get so much more done.

What nonsense - absolute monarchs can't even dress themselves without help.

Well Mike, if it's settled we surely won't have this conversation right? We have seen many arguments that doesn't fit your "answers" and as Dean said with wisdom, we will wait in the dark until it happen... well, just until 2012.

Once the waters remain in calm and the spirit moved over it. Then Mike create a thread and chaos was created... Wink
