Ok. It's that I consider pop everything is not Progressive, Newage, Jazz or Classic. Sex Pistols are pop for me.
 
I tend to see pop as stuff made for the mass market which can include stuff here such as Pink Floyd.  I could never see something like Crass - Christ the Album as Pop.  Whereas you would.  The thread said no punk so I like to stick to the rules as set by who made the effort to make a thread.  otherwise ...

Bat Out of Hell was the first album I ever loved, so it gets my vote even though I never listen to it anymore.

Yep.  I kind of agree Slartibreakfast.  However, I think that makes them pretty shabby pop albums.

Well, I've got Aja, Heroes, and I Robot all of which I consider to be prog, which means as pop albums they aren't too shabby. Big smile

I did the same...however I'm aware of a discussion about adding Meat Loaf to the prog-related section. At least that album features the UTOPIA Todd Rundgren...

....yeah, look, maybe he went downhill fast, but Bat Out of Hell is great.

Boz Scaggs - Silk Degrees was in 76 but i love that album, but also Aja is great, i like Stevie Wonder, Bowie, Abba, and Fleetwood Mac, and the Eagles.
