Kidding? In rock music what you do today can influence some other guy in a few months. It's been like that since the 60s, especially during moments of transitions between styles/eras. Myself I'd be surprised if there was still someone with a good culture in contemporary music and actually influenced by guys that have been going on for so long like White, Greenwood or Bellamy.

If I was a guitarist today, I'd be looking up for inspiration to the
guys in Animals as Leaders, not dinosaurs like Jack White or Johnny
Greenwood

I personally love The White Stripes and Radiohead... two very good and original comtemp. artists that aren't prog.

I can understand Bellamy, Homme, Greenwood, but the rest are meh or sh*t (Jack White).
