I can definitely get why a lot of people don't like the second half, I didn't like it at all for a while. Grew on me, though. Have you got any other Kayo Dot?

Kayo Dot is a band that has yet to grow on me. I have a feeling that in time, I will like them because Toby Driver has an oddness that intrigues me and their style is very unique and interesting. The only album I truly like so far is Choirs Of The Eye, but I'm sure if I keep giving other discs chances the band should grow on me.

Choirs: 5 Dowsing: 5 BLD: 5 Coyote: 5 Kayo Dot/Bloody Panda Split 7": 4, but it'd be 5 if it was only Kayo Dot.
Live in Bonn, Germany, October 7 2009: 4.5, if only for the recording being a little hard to hear at times.

It took me minimum 20 listens to begin to like Choirs. After that I got BLD, which I also loved, and then I ordered DAWCT/Coyote/Toby's solo album/Tartar Lamb all together. You can stream BLD and Coyote, as I mentioned in your thread about Kayo Dot

At least Joel admits it!
I'd never be a fanboy, so not cool. Anyone who doesn't like Opeth should die though, this is fact

I like what I've heard, I just don't have anything from them.

To be honest, there isn't a single prog band on earth with over 3 albums of which I like every album (from what I've heard at least).
Dream Theater, my favourite band, has FII and ToT and I dislike both.

Also, my ear is finally settling down, although no headphones/loud music for the next few days at least.

Ghost Reveries would be a 2 for me if not for Ghost Of Perdition (which is easily my favourite Opeth track.)
