PA is awfully quiet tonight. Hey Truthy, what are you reviewing next?

Not sure if I'll do another before I fall asleep again.

Isn't it too short for aspiring to Reviewer status?

I remember seeing length and degree of complexity mentioned as factors in the evaluation of reviews, but I couldn't point you to where I've seen that.

^ I think that is only the minimum required to have your reviews counted as reviews instead of mere ratings Tongue

Oh I see... So the reviews have to be long to become a reviewer?

No, the reviews have to show insight, knowledge, good phrasing, some objectivity, and most importantly, passion.

Word counts don't matter - look at Sean Trane...

I forgot about his reviews, he even states in some of them that he's having trouble hitting the 50 word mark LOL

Sean does tend to push the word limit a little, some of his early reviews are literally only a couple of sentences, but that's not the point. He's well versed in prog, and probably owns the most albums of anyone here. He's passionate about prog, and that's why he's an SC. Anyone can write reviews, but only those with a love for the craft, and the art can do them justice.

Those short ST reviews are mostly from 2004 - 2005, when they desperately needed to cover as much of the database as possible, with at least one review. That's why they're so short. If you check his reviews from the last years they're pretty developed.
