Also, is it strange that when we read "The Stranger" back in HS most of my class was disturbed/horrified/weirded out and I took to instantly and loved it?

Don't know, Im guessing a good number were Christian because, well there's a lot of them.
General reaction was: "What is wrong with that guy?" to "God, how can someone come up with that character? Totally emotionless and just not care at all?" to really disturbed by it. Those must've been Christians for sure.

I remember also one girl saying "I think I got it. I wonder if he was autistic. I know someone who is a lil bit, and while it could be mistaken for lack of empathy......." yadda yadda. I had to stop myself from saying, are you dumb!? He just does not care lulz

And Arthur Koestler? Sadly not
