Frankly, I haven't explored much of Voivod because I like only a narrow section of their discography. Nothingface is pretty good, as is Angel Rat, but little else.

I saw Converge last year when they opened for Mastodon and I thought they blew d*ck.
Then, a while ago I found out how highly praised Jane Doe is among almost all metal circles (with the exception of maybe ours), I bought the album.
It's energetic and for the most part entertaining, and the lyrics are fairly intelligent, but I don't understand why it's considered a "masterpiece". Nor is it ever possible to understand the lyrics anyway; I had to look them up.
