That's why I liked playing our original compositions. I never wrote down any bass lines, never played the songs the same twice...it made it so much more fun, I just improv'd anything that sounded good and basically stayed in the groove.

You'll want to skip forward a bit to get to the "synths". It's sort of like a really sh*tty version of Muse with more alt-rock, which isn't that surprising because the Muse/Radiohead/Coldplay schtick has been popular in the US for a while now, and Linkin Park have always been very far behind the times. I tried to resist a sarcastic comment, but I couldn't. If he'd just joined I would have been nicer and complimented him for his bravery, but he joined 3 years ago, even if you don't post you have to figure something out in that time.
