That's what I liked about Magma. They didn't do an encore. They just said "right, we're done, we're going to play one more instead of walking off and coming back on again".
Well, not those words exactly.

He did do an awesome piece with a Whamola though, and then the band did a collab piece with the openers, the Dead Kenny G's, who were actually much better than I thought they would be. I think the Dead Kenny G's would fit pretty well in the RIO/Avant category. They don't have a guitarist; they had a lead saxophonist instead, and their music was a lot like a less metal Mr. Bungle-meets-free jazz. Pretty cool stuff, I'm gonna explore their discography and recommend they be added to PA.

Encores are silly. I waited about fifteen minutes at a U2 concert for about eight more songs which I didn't even like. Ugh. Why couldn't they have just played War and let us go home?

They only waited about two minutes before they came back to play the encore. I didn't even know it was the encore until I got home and looked at the setlist; I thought I had left early.
