Topic: Are YOU prog? Posted: August 07 2010 at 02:23 |
Many times on this site you'll see questions raised as to whether or not a certain band or artist is prog or not, so I shall ask the question, do you consider yourself prog?
. In everyday life do you suddenly switch time signatures?
. is your voice always in falsetto?
. is ten minutes just not long enough?
. do you play every instrument known to man?
. do prog stereotypes anger you to no end?
I'M PROG COZ I GET NO RADEO ERREPLAY!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure. I suppose I'm drone... it's an avant garde movement, but not really prog.
- I move very slowly, but with menace. - I can move fast when neccessary, but honestly, nobody cares. - I dress like a satanic priest, and like to stroll around forests at night. - My neighbours complain about loud riffs coming from my flat, but really it's still only one riff.

. In everyday life do you suddenly switch time signatures? No. I always warn people when I speed up or slow down, and I'm quite slow at switching my time signature.
. is your voice always in falsetto?
No. Low and sleepy-sounding at the morning (until my tea), middle and angry-sounding when in office and dealing with people, low and desperated-sounding when coming back from work.
. is ten minutes just not long enough? Not your business, only the ladies would have this information.
. do you play every instrument known to man? No. Bass and flute make me work hard enough, no need to add saxo, drums, piano or kazoo.
. do prog stereotypes anger you to no end? No. I have a shower everyday and I don't play AD&D.

. is your voice always in falsetto?no. just every now and then.
. is ten minutes just not long enough?that depends. For silly claims it is much too long. For interesting things it looks like a second.
. do you play every instrument known to man?no. I do not play any instrument.
. do prog stereotypes anger you to no end?ah..... what are prog sterotypes ?

My answer is yes, though the more progressive answer is no. Which means my answer is no. Or mayby yes.
