Yes indeed. Drop D is probably my favorite guitar mode (apart from maybe drop C.)
That or low F# (djent djent djent)
That reminds me: I'll be having an extended range guitar built for me pretty soon. If we still exist in like three months we can make some djent too.

Maybe useful, I'm sifting through my poems for avant stuff:
You had finally convinced yourself,
That you are better out on your own,
But now that speck of dust in the corner,
Won't leave your mind alone,
You try to let your mind wander away,
But the dust interrupts once again,
You feeling a burning sensation on your hand,
And you notice your melting skin,
You're losing every part of yourself,
But the again you really must,
Almost living a perfect life,
But getting it torn apart by dust.

Lyrics time, one of my poems:
The Meadow
Amid the verdant meadows of glistening grey lakes
a calm wind stirs, vivid carnations sprout
they creep from base to canopy
they fall in perpetual harmony and shrug a quiet cry
a dull eternal life

Nice, very nice. Nothing new, but cryptic and attention-grabbing.

I like cryptic. The more the better.
EDIT: Also, esoteric. I like that stuff too.

A combination of disc golf and roller skating left me so exhausted that I won't be doing anything today, I'd like to promise a metal track during the weekend.

I was wrong, managed to record about a minute of it somewhat decently. I'm not sure if I'll include the jazz part, I might leave it like that as a short burst of metal that wanders to a more melodic territory for a while before returning to a dissonant version of the original burst. You can then tell me if it's any good or too normal and boring.

I have songwriter's block
I'm trying to get my piece done I promise, but everything I come up with seems to just be a derivation of someone else's work...

Devin Townsend plays open C quite a bit. It annoys me when I want to play something of his because I only have 1 guitar.
