   Meurglys III has been a successful reigning champion for quite a while now, but War looks like he may be too much for the drunken poet.  After the opening ceremony (with both of the cliches we've come to expect from these two combatants), War sets off with his battle axe, but easily misses.  Meurglys III spits gin in his face and just pummels him with the White Hammer.  War gets a quick hit in but does little against his foe's chain mail armor.  Meurglys III strikes again, but his White Hammer meets War's kite shield instead of the fighter's body.  War hits three times but seems to be weak- nothing he dishes out appears to be fazing Meurglys III, who hits four equally superficial blows.  War grazes his opponent.  There's lots of action but little dying.  Things look all tied up at this point.  After quite some time, War breaks the silence of the battle with an amazing hit.  Meurglys III appears ready to throw in the towel.  But no- he dishes out his own punishment, smashing War in the face.  Enraged, War strikes again, all but crippling the reigning champion.  Weary and eager to please the crowd, War slices directly through the skull of Meurglys III, who stands upright for several moments before his legs collapse underneath him.
