I happened to record a short acoustic guitar improv just for fun, and then I realized that it might be good to use it as an intro and basis for my metal track which I'll hopefully do tomorrow. I'd like to record it again for better sound (did it on my laptop's mic which I use for recording misc ideas) and get rid of a couple of mistakes, but I can't because this recording has my dog whining in the background and me asking "what now?", in Finnish of course, because my fiancee tried to say something just before I pushed record. Tongue I could upload it, but I think I'll keep it a secret until the metal track is done, so then I'll present them both at the same time. The intro is not really avant, but perhaps the actual track will be something in that direction. I've never written anything I'd call avant though, but some people call my stuff weird.

And JJ, what are you recording with? Audacity automatically does multi-tracks when you record to an existing project file.

Guys if it's metal you want, gimme 2 weeks and I'll crank out some tracks.  I've got a kickass rig, definitely can make high quality recordings

I'd like some. I mean we need some metal to go with the avant. Then I can really go crazy with the drums as well.

Started recording my softer rock piece but it's not done yet and too late to keep recording.

Yes.  Lots of time signature changes, no refrains, and leave space for a clarinet solo LOL

Came up with a couple of decent riffs while fooling around a while ago, recorded them all for future reference. I've just got to concentrate on not making it too normal.
