Anyway, a while ago I was reading Glamour (maybe it was Cosmo) at Hair Cuttery because I was bored, and in the back of the magazine was recommendations, and they recommended Contra. That's all that needs to be said, really.
I hate the fine line indie rock must walk to be accepted by Pitchfork et al. Too experimental that it couldn't potentially be played on the radio (even though it never will, obviously) and it's w**ky self-indulgence, and too poppy and it's mainstream. What do you want!?

Maybe I'm the confused one then. I know an Alex left because of some comment made about something... I presumed it was MovingPictures. It seems it was the other Alex.

I think I've given up on Sian already.  She turned up tonight briefly... true she was very tired but she didn't seem that interested in talking me. She came over, put her bag down next to me but I was doing the quiz with others... she ended going to another table and sitting with them. We're supposed to still be meeting up tomorrow though. Maybe it was just tiredness. I hope so. But I may as well just give up... so then she can actually surprise me when and if she does actually like me.
