Although not a Queen fan, it irritated me when friends would sing "We will we will rock 'n roll", Who in God's name could not hear that lyric in it's simplicity? And then the famous Hendrix screw-up " Scuse me while I kiss this guy". When folks screw up lyrics I don't understand why, unless the singer has a real accent or slurred speech. Funny stuph tho....

It actually DOES sound like "Scuse me while I kiss this guy", and he actually would say it live in some shows...

In "Anthem" by Rush, Geddy Lee sings: "Anthem of the heart, and anthem of the mind." The first time I listened to it, I could've sworn he was saying: "I'm from Oklahoma, I'm from up in Maine." I figured he was pronouncing Maine as "Mine" because of his Canadian accent. I still didn't make sense, though.

Until I read that I thought the line was "I was blinded by a pair of eyes."

Hahahaha, I (mis)heard the same thing!
and when they sing "hurry boy it's waiting there for you" I always heard "three boys is waiting there for you" - I know it's gramatically incorrect and that was always bothering me when I was a kid

Not particularly funny but on ELP's 'KE9 3rd impression' I always heard ''Guardians of a new clear dawn'' as ''Guardians of a nuclear zone''.
also going back a good few years there was a DJ on local radio in Nottingham called Graham Neal who was convinced that ELP had paid homage to him in KE9 (the bit with ''Pray and kneel'' )
