Going to download your tracks now, Ben.

What did you think of EST btw?

EST are amazing, I've heard videos from them on YouTube, but Strange Place For Snow is epic.

Also, warning, those tracks of mine are... pure noise.

I saw the Russian Tea Cakes thread. I'm prepared for ear rape-age.

It means you're a horse with big prominent teeth.  A so-called "horsewithteeth", if you will.

So what metal bands should we talk about? I'm not sure where to start.

Same here. Tosin Abasi is absolutely amazing and quite original.

I love that Meshuggah video. I'm also going out on a limb here and saying they're now as influential as Metallica.

Oh, metal. Why isn't Neurosis at least as popular as Isis here on PA?

To be honest, I far prefer Isis over Neurosis, but Neurosis does have some excellent tracks.  In particular I really enjoy Times of Grace and think it's their best album.

I'd agree with that to an extent; they're certainly incredibly important in the underground metal scene spanning almost twenty years.

And HWT, (I apologize, I've been telling this to everyone I know,) did you know I get to meet Tosin Abasi next Saturday before the AAL concert in my town?  He's giving me a guitar lesson.  Shocked

I prefer Isis over them as well I suppose. But, Neurosis, being pioneers of post-metal, seem to be completely overlooked here which I think is quite odd. And Times Of Grace is pretty good, though I think I prefer A Sun That Never sets over it by a small bit.

I do agree that Neurosis doesn't really get the attention they deserve and they are quite overlooked.
