Seriously though, I think we should make one album and each member gets their own (written) track. The only problem though is that the instruments wouldn't come together, which they probably should.

We could each record a single track each, then send that track to someone, who adds something, etc etc. For example, I record a piano piece, send it to Ben, who then adds some guitar, who sends it to you and so on.

Like I said earlier, improv is fine. But if we're not doing individual stuff, who will be the writers for the music and lyrics?

Seconded. If we want to make something SOMEWHAT coherent and not utter sh*t that be best. Opposed to everyon making anything and crunch it together IMPROV should be involved though! Mainly if you dont know what to do!

Same here, except I'm not quite minimalist or experimental. I think, though, that we should just go with one track (however long it ends up being) with each of us adding our own improvised bits to it.

Then if we all get one idea down, send it around and every one adds to it, we can end up with around 15 tracks of decent stuff.

I'd love to just add a few touches onto something, even if it's sh*t or random. I'm not that skilled, if at all.

You don't need writers for improv stuff, and there are improvised vocals on the World Heritage albums and such.

I used to do that with my grandpa's guitar, except not musical at all, I would just sit there and amuse myself for the longest time.

Should we make a new thread for this? This project seems big enough for one.

SHlT yes! And seriously, with the "adding" on idea we can actually make this something. And sorry to be that guy...but I gotta go last. Then I can actually match and play to the music, imagine the hell we'd end up with otherwise!

I'm just sitting here now, on my 5 string (lol) mucking around in de-tuned idiocy. Sounds sweet with some lazy grooves.

Probably a good ide, that way we'll have a definite place for ideas et al; we also need to make sure it doesn't get spammed up.
