Ritual - 8/10 Nothing's Shocking - 11/10
Seriously, their studio debut is one of the best albums ever.

dont really know what is is that make this record and thge band as well, sound so different from other bands. Maybe it is their ethnic elements or their well-proportioned mysticism.... indeed it is one of my alltime hundred favorites

I'd pick Nothings shocking over this one. Much more unified and complete.

I also prefer Nothing's Shocking to Ritual, but there is some damn good stuff on Ritual (even though Perry's a bit of a prat).

They're both around 5/5 records.

Very awesome album and probably one of my all time favorite albums in general. I saw Jane's Addiction last summer when they were touring with Nine Inch Nails and they opened with Three Days and also played Then She Did, both of which are my favorite songs off the album.

I think people tend to forget the influence JA had on the overall landscape of music, their debut came out in 88 and really didn't start gaining huge following until about a year or so afterward, and their second album released in 90, years after its release continued to play in heavy rotation all across the land on through the great mainstream "alternative" boom,
always had a lot of respect for this band,

A great band that I like so much since younger. Though I do prefer Ritual over Nothing..., anyway both albums are great.
