It's a good album, no doubt, but it's not the best.

At least at this point, I would not be able to pick an absolute favorite. So many albums have such a unique, amazing sound to them...for example, it could be Tago Mago, or K.A., or The Rotters Club, or Angherr Shisspa, or Legend, or Jean Louis, or E-Re, or Bitches Brew, or miRthkon's Vehicle, or Of Queues and Cures, or UZ's debut, or Soft Machine's Volume Two, or Angel's Egg, or...
Left out live albums to keep the list short. Edited by SaltyJon - July 28 2010 at 19:16 |

Dave, you may have already updated the Shred, but I haven't seen yet; how did things go with your grandpa?

It took me forever to notice the people towards the bottom, my eyes always stray towards the top right.

I haven't actually. Thanks for reminding me Jon. The surgery was successful. My grandpa had 100% blockage in both aorta on the right side of his heart (the part of the heart that redistributes blood and oxygen to every part of the body except the lungs). But lots of small veins had formed a branch of some kind. I'm not really sure how to explain it, but basically the left side of his heart adapted and compensated for dealing with that loss. And had that not happened, he would have dropped dead, so he was incredibly lucky. They said he was going to be sedated for about 2-3 days, but they were able to remove the breathing tubes today and woke him up. He's fairly weak, but he's alert, conscious, and was talking with us. And most importantly, he had his sense of humor still with him. So basically, he got really lucky and is on his way to a full if slow recovery. ![]() |

Oh, and as to the prior discussion, my absolute favourite album is still probably First Utterance, regardless of how much music I love just as much as it

Change First Utterance to Colors and it's just as accurate for me. |

It is definitely one of my favorites, not many albums come close to it's brilliance.
