Nice painting. There are tons of similar sado-erotic photographs from the beginning of the 20th century, who would have thought people from the age of the tail coat & silk hat were having such "dirty" things in mind? You can find albums dedicated to that stuff in every bookshop. If you want something stronger, google "Chapman brothers sculpture". Those were outrageous 20 years ago... Now they are passé

The admins need to coordinate a little better, this was moved from Prog to General Discussions and then from there to General Music Discussions, which still doesn't make any sense and left another one of the unbearably annoying and broken moved thread markers lurking in General Discussions for an indefinite period of time.
Damn it harmonium, why did you have to quote it! Now this page is NSFW too!

I think because this is the Prog Randomness Thread it is being moved to various categories at random.

Poor old Richard Ashcroft. He had a huge feature in Q talking all this sh*te about how his new record was the future and going to put him on the map and shut all the doubters up and, almost inevitably, it has turned out to be one of the worst reviewed releases for a very long time.

It's got 37 on Metacritic so you can expect that silence to continue.

Frontman for The Verve. Has had a very troubled solo career- every album is supposed to be the one that establishes him as a real force and they've all sort of sucked. This one especially hard, it may be enough to bury him actually.

Found this sentence in a review here:
"A lot of bands that appeared in scene of Prog Rock of Japan in the latter half of the 90's exist."
I know what he meant but it still tickled me ;)

I've just started listening to Squeeze and am really enjoying them. I got Argybargy, which is an enjoyable, quality, intelligent pop record from 1980 and there's not a lot of those. I've also suddenly lost some of my respect for Morrissey- I thought his vocal style was original but he actually appears to have largely swiped it from Squeeze's Chris Difford.

I have really enjoyed all of Ashcroft's solo albums especially Human Conditions, but apparently his new album is full of rap/hip hop so not so appealing. He gets a raw deal probably cos of his Bittersweet Symphony persona
