I have two half-sisters who I don't live with and hardly ever see. And for the vast majority of my life they didn't exist, so I feel like an only-child. But I voted two sisters.

Also my four siblings (see page 1) like prog, from my oldest brother (4 years older than me) to my youngest (17 years younger than me). First I convinced my big brother (which was quite easy), then, when my sister became 12, she decided she was too old for ABBA and startet listening to VdGG instead. My two youngest brothers never had a chance; we fed them with prog from they were kids. OK, off topic, but I think it’s nice.

Anywho, I have one brother, 2 years younger. I'm cool with how things are, and same with Llama...we've been able to hang out, be friends for most of our lives.

Exactly this.
Interesting how many of the people here are firstborn. It appears to me that most firstborns are often more quiet and laid-back, as most proggers seem to be. |
I wasn't sure...but thus far there have indeed been a lot of firstborns. I know I am more laid back than my younger brother, and while I like metal and he does like prog he seems to be more into straight up death metal and thrash metal and extreme genres. Maybe there is something behind this. Great poll by the way! Pretty cool and refreshing from all those cartoon ones

I have 2 younger brothers (who happen to be twins), two half-sisters (one from my father,'s side the other from my mother's side). My two brothers are musicians (each of them had already released two CD with their own bands) and my half-sister had started studies to work in the cartoon field.

Two brothers, both younger. One I get along with, the other not so much. Both are married with kids.

By blood, I have one brother (which is mildly surprising, considering my mom had 5 brothers/sister and my dad 7). (This is what I voted).
I have another brother and two sisters through my dads re-marriage. I don't know them too well. For a few years, I had two step-sisters from a long-time girlfriend of my dads, and I knew them much better (they actually felt like siblings because I grew up with them), but I haven't really seen them in years.
My girlfriend has two sisters and her and I have been dating long enough that they feel like my sisters. One is my age and the other is 7.

I have an older sister (she's 25, I'm 23). It's been highly fascinating to notice how different we are in many ways (she's very social and outgoing, me not so much) - and yet our thought patterns are often eerily similar. In any case, she's one of my best friends.

I have a sister 3 years younger, we would probably be vastly different people without each other.

My older brother (21) has horrible taste in music, and my younger brother (16) plays competitive team sports still
they're obviously not related to me
although, I get along decently with both of them
