I just had to say something. Having the same IP doesn't mean the traffic originated from the same machine. Just means they came from the same gateway! I agree this was probably a case of a doppelganger, but I don't want to get banned if my roomie behind the same router joins!

Question
For local networks, routers enforce NAT (network address translation), so your lan IP is secure. It also helps your ISP in that they don't have to give each machine on your lan a separate IP. For instance, if you post any where in the residence halls on my uni's campus, it'll look like it's coming from 1 of 3 IP addrs, which one it is depends on the load of each device. Basically, I'm just saying that red-flagging ppl whose posts come from IP is not necessarily a good practice.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NAT

A lot more went into that person being banned than just matching ip numbers. It was pretty obvious something very fishy was going on, I knew there was a double personality going on there, matching ips and matching email addresses were the icing on the cake.
Sorry, my "Question" was because I wasn't aware of what Deathrabbit's post was about since it didn't relate to any recent posts in this thread - too lazy to search back through the pages. Now I understand.

We are fully aware of NATs, and of the problem of dynamic IP address allocation, so take other things into consideration and never block on IP duplication alone. Often they are just the trigger that alerts us of a possible infringement. In this particular case the similarities in the email addresses was enough.

What?

In general women hate long and complicated ditties, whereas men love a good 340 minute solo.............short melodic tunes give women more pleasure than the prog overtures of long rambling nonsense.  However if i'm wrong.....bucks fizz are marvellous especially the pete sinfield song "the land of make believe" .....oops prog intonations there.

I think men are overall more into prog because of the "madness" in our minds; what I'm trying to say is that women's minds tend to be more structuralised or ordened and think more of the things of which they will benefit as a person - just look at their hormone systemTongue -, whereas men's minds are more associative and "busy" (that's not the right word...) and more engaged with not directly profitable things such as prog music or watching sports - women participate in sports too, but apart from the actual participating overall men are more into watching it and talking about it than women. Also, men overall understand the beautty of structures more than women, I guess: they overall like to know how machines/engines work; how a language`s grammar is built; how different/difficult rythmic patterns are cohesively tied together; etc...

Well, at least, that's what I think..

Even if it were true (part of it certainly is for me) it would not explain it. You don't necessarily have to want to know how an engine works to use it. I have no idea about cars and simply am not interested in mechanisms, yet I enjoy classical music a lot, especially Johann Sebastian Bach, and it is pretty hard to get more complex than he was.
Wake up,man; this is the 21st century!

As far as I´m concerned this is the 17th century - that should have got nothing to do with it. And I'm not saying this is the ultimate answer, just a suggestion. I, myself, for instance, absolutely don't give a f**k for engines, cars, even bicycles so in that case I am a contradiction to my theory, myself. Embarrassed But on the topic, why do you think there are less women attending prog-concerts than men? ('cause of course we don't know for sure they're not listening to prog at home, do weLOLTongue)

^^^ Yes, the ladies flocked to Genesis concerts after they dumbed down and sold out. You can deduce whatever you like from that. I'm not saying anymore...
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

^ Ehm, I have to admit that I really like Invisible Touch.Embarrassed But then again, I haven't I wasn't there when Gabriel and Hackett were still with Genesis (I was born in 1992) And Invisible Touch was the first of Genesis I`d heard... That might have got something to do with it; nevertheless I think Domino is a marvelous epic!
