Definitely Young Frankenstein. One of the funniest movies ever and Brooks' most consistent from beginning to end. I think the producers is a close second. Both Blazing Saddles and Spaceballs have their moments, but are not consistently funny.

Without Blazing Saddles none of the others would exist including the popularity of the Producers.  You also forgot one called the 12 Chairs.

naw, it's probably just because I haven't seen The Producers or Young Frankenstein.  I was not a fan of Blazing Saddles, that's for sure

I voted for History of The World, Part I.  I feel its pretty underrated.

The end of Blazing Saddles gets a little annoying.  I feel like they should've left some parts out.  Maybe Spaceballs too, but I still love both... I really gotta see The Producers though.  I've only seen the play.  No Gene Wilder in the play... heheh

How's 12 Chairs?

Well, while I laughed at parts, it was not as funny as I was expecting it to be. Young Frankenstein SEEMS funnier to me, but I watched it as a child, and maybe that's the only reason why.

^ Maybe it was because you didn't see it at a drive in with some beers and other kinds of stuff  carammed into a car with 4 other guys.  Wink
Pretty funny stuff.

Brooks was one of my favorite directors once. Now I think I overrated him. I only like Silent Movie and Young Frankenstein, with some good moments in Spaceballs... Some decent jokes here and there in Dracula and in History of the World, and utter boredom in Robin Hood and the others. Especially the atrocious Blazing Saddles, one of the worst 10 films I've ever seen.

All I can say that if you can't tolerate silly, you won't get into Mel.  I see Blazing Saddles has fallen behind Young Frankenstein, so I went for that.  I have to put both at the top with Spaceballs third.  What a terrible thing to lose one's mind.  Mel's has been long gone for a long time. LOL

I've never actually genuinely laughed at any of his films.

Had to vote for Blazing Saddles.  It has Count Basie in it.
Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

Blazing Saddles, followed by YT and the Producers. I actually like Spaceballs less and less as time goes on. It just seemed so hollow and cheesy, compared to his 70's output. Men in Tights was neat, though.

1.- Young Frankenstein
2.- To Be or Not To Be (He played 5 characters but didn't direct it )
3.- Silent Movie
4.- History of The World, Part I
5.- Dracula: Dead And Loving It
6.- High Anxiety
6.- Blazing Saddles

Can't stand 5 minutes of Spaceballs or Robin Hood, both are terrible IMHO.

Iván
