Votes accepted until 5 minutes before the first game is played.
My team is Netherlands, I want a new fresh champion and they are a machine.

This is difficult... I can not pick one winner, I can only list the descending order of my favourites:
Brazil Argentina Germany Spain Netherlands.
I'd love to see Spain win if they keep improving. For the moment I'm not satisfied.
Also, a Brazil - Argentina final is something that I'd like to see in my lifetime so that would be nice, too.

I choose the Netherlands too.
Being Dutch, maybe it's wishful thinking from me. This time they really seemed to put their head to it not to just play attractive soccer, but to get the world cup. Although they make some mistakes, they do seem to have things in order this time.
Having said that... timeo Hispanioles or does one say that in Latin. They seem to be an even better oiled machine, and Brazil and Argentina also seem to be strong.
But I couldn't choose any other team than The Netherlands, my country of birth. Frank de Boer said that in 1998 they could have been world champion if they would have set their minds to it. I think, also in 1974. Almost in 1978 as well, though Argentina was equally strong. This time then? Go, Netherlands!

There was another poll earlier in the competition and I will not change my prediction which is that Diego Maradona will be running naked through the streets of Argentina. As it will be this gun toting, coke addled, fist raising, tax avoiding, footballing genious that will be raising the cup again.

I think Holland got it together this time, very effective, focussed and with the occasional flash to make the difference.

Can I just vote for South America?
Though really, I would also like to see The Netherlands win it all.

Much to my dislike, it's obvious that Brazil will win. They have one of those teams like in USA 94 (minus the talent of Romario and Bebeto) that is efficient in the back. Once you have a Brazil with a good defense (and good goalkeeper for a change), things get too difficult for the other teams. And I'm not fan of Robinho and I'm tired of Brazil winning the world cup, but alas, they will win.

No!!! Teo, that won't happen ever again you hear...!!!
I think when show that mediocre attitude and that relaxed about the teams they are against to they always loose with the less expected rival. My heart is with Argentina but it would be nice if Uruguay win something after those 60 years... I say, Argentina...

I've been sticking with Spain from the beginning and I se no reason to abandon them now.

Would love to see Ghana win it but from what I've seen it will be Argentina (so I voted for them)

Really don't mind if you sit this one out.

Most people interested in the WC post in the other thread me thinks. Or have already made a prediction in this one.
Looks like you have a good chance this time. But Spain won't be easy.
