I'm still pushing Progasm but why not just flip things around and name your band Gorp.

Time always wins.

Why would you ever want to put a genre in your name?  To me that's just stupid.  Have a name that means something, and doesn't limit you so much.

Ok, Rob, you probably know, but I can’t resist it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crossover_%28band%29

(What is "electroclash"?)

http://thecrossoverband.com/

and

http://www.facebook.com/pages/BILL-MURRAY-AND-THE-CROSSOVER-BAND/223085275983

Description:
Bill Murray and The Crossover Band performs Traditional Country Music, Oldies (50's-60's) and an Elvis Tribute. Bill is a Nashville recording artist who lives in Pennsylvania. Bill and the band performs mostly in PA, NJ, and NY.
Apart from that, the Crossovers is a great name!

I agree that Catharsis is pretty good, but "Cat Arse" means "Cat Butt" and it's already been used (I had a Cat Butt album, "Journey To The Center Of Cat Butt". It was on Sub Pop and wasn't very good).

Hi,

Here's one for you ...

ProgreXion

This way, it can refer to a lot more things and you don't have to define any of them. And of course, some folks here will promptly say that it is not progressive enough!

But if you know the secret within, it won't matter what we say here!
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
