I think the correct pronunciation is somewhere between 'zurl' and 'zoil', - there's a rather tricky diphthong in the middle - but I agree that in liver performance it tends to come out more like 'zool'.

Re: zeuhl, I always assumed the German pronunciation rules would apply (so it rhymes with "boil", "coil", "foil", "soil", "toil" etc.), but I've heard it pronounced zool ("ooo" instead of "oi") in some Magma performances.
