Joel: Yeah, Wesley is superb on this disc. His singing of the My Ashes chorus gave me goosebumps. And his rendering of the Alex Lifeson solo on Anesthetize is fabulous. Really awesome. Please, PT, make him a full time second guitarist/ vocalist? You can do a load more complex stuff with the guitar parts when you have more than one player.

WOW! I'm stoked.  I thought it would be good, but not this good. Is this not the most beautiful DVD presentation ever? I'm pumped for mine in the mail any day now. Mine's grey, but it should look very nice in grey, too. So glad I ordered this.

Wow, that does look astoundingly good! You just don't see packaging and detail like that in the majority of today's market. Everything is quickly thrown together and no time is spent on paying attention to detail.
Bravo Burning Shed and PT! 
RE John Wesley: I don't think they should make him a permanent member of the band. Not that he's not amazingly skilled, it's just that I think it makes a better show when people don't know what to expect, and then they hear John singing certain lines and improv-ing his solos.

Yeah, PT seem to be one of the few artists these days that care about the quality of their packaging, and really cater for the CD buying crowd. They give you proper value for money.
Most Britney Spears fans, for example, wouldn't give a toss about album artwork or presentation. Just chuck her in another skimpy costume and shoot yet another cover photo of the 'artist'.

With PT, I never really feel like I've payed 20$ for 3$ worth of plastic though; the packaging, with maybe FOABP and The Incident in exception (because I only have the regular CD's) are absolutely stunning.
Also, I just realised I had an email from Paypal saying my order for the IEM boxset didn't go through  wasn't charged, but just had to reorder it.

Been listening to a lot of Blackfield as of late. Really good pair of albums. I especially like the debut, melodic pop-rock at its very best, that's a fact!

I for one prefer Blackfield II; both great albums though. The first one does have a more unique, less generic sound though.
Christenings is one of my favourite SW project songs.

^ Christenings (which I think was going to be a Deadwing track..?) is quite a beautiful song. Very nice and entrancing lyrics and wonderful melodies.
Open Mind, Blackfield, Scars, The Hole in Me, and Cloudy Now are probably my favorite numbers from I. From II, I'd have to say that Miss U, Christenings, Epidemic, and End of the World are my top tracks. Overall, 4 Star albums for me. Equally great, but as I said, I prefer BF I just a little more.

For me, the best tracks from I are Blackfield, Summer, The Hole In Me and Hello, from II, Once, 1000 People, Christenings and My Gift Of Silence are the best.
They're all great songs though.

I recieved my IEM boxset last night. Only listened to to opening 2 tracks on the first disc, but I'm impressed. Reminds me of Saucerful Of Secrets/More era Pink Floyd and Hawkwind. The package is wonderful, possibly even better than Anesthetize. The booklet is just wonderful.

Ohhhhh, now I'm excited!
Still awaiting my copy, although really excited for it to arrive. Won't get to give it a listen until 2 weeks from now, regardless of when it arrives, because of exams.

Ahh, unlucky. This is a brilliant time of the year for me... No exams, plently of new PT/S.Wilson stuff to watch/listen to, and also the World Cup!!! I have no idea if you will be following any of the Football Progkidjoel, but I will be keeping a close eye on the Ozzie's progress as well as England, you have Timmy Cahill, who plays for my team, Everton

I'll definitely be keeping up with the world cup, even exams won't get in the way of that!
This is a great (and also super expensive!) month to be an SW fanboy. Can't wait for the holidays to give the IEM stuff some proper listens.

No, I don't have it yet. It's on my looooong list of remaining SW-related projects left to get. That DVD and No-Man's Returning Jesus are probably going to be my next SW-related projects that I plan to buy. IEM is starting to sound pretty good too...
