Is it so hard to imagine that there could be entities not identical with themselves? Consider infinite (boundless) entities. Unless we can give a rigid definition for prog, there is no reason to assume that the first "prog" in "prog is prog" is exactly the same as the second "prog" - in fact there's no way it could be.

Quantum mechanics says that things exist only because there are observers observing them (i.e. in our scope of discussion, "prog exists only because there are proggers listening to it").

There's a joke about Berkeley's death that would fit here, but I've forgotten how it went.

Prog is not a science, and too much science takes your brain down sometimes...

Prog is appreciated with senses.

How can there be prog?
We technically have no proof that we even exist as physical beings.

We may be a brain, floating in a vat being shown images and sensations we take to be real. I mean ho do you know for an absolute fact that's not the case?

Just because it's good doesn't mean it's prog.

No...apparently, its a sub-genre of  rock, which isn't a sub-genre of  jazz-rock, even though it's a sub-genre of fusion.

So I've been told.  Smile

Oh no, you got it all wrong! Shocked

What I said was that prog is a subgenre of rock, and jazz-rock is a fusion of jazz and rock, and therefore neither a subgenre of rock nor a subgenre of jazz.

Please, go to Hell, you Atlantean chauvinist imperialist wombat.

MAGMA has always been, is and always will be the best band in the whole universe.
Or, so Vander said...

And I think we all know that the best band in the whole universe is The Stooges. Stern Smile

Well, I must discuss it. Think that Mötorhead prog universe has risen all us with his marvellous vocals along the 20th century. Symphonic Stooges are overrated, in my humble opinion of course.Ouch

Shocked

Actually, now that I think about it, Fun House is quite progressive. Either Proto-Prog or Heavy Prog, I think. Although "We Will Fall" on the debut album is definitely Psychedelic/Space Rock. Or possibly Raga Rock.
