THIS will be awesome! Clap

I'm not much of a Porcupine Tree fan, but I absolutely love Portnoy's drumming and Akerfeldt's vocals (and compositions and guitar...). Really looking forward to this! Thumbs Up

It's not about taking the ratings down from a 4.0 to a 2.0. No one has that kind of power--even collabs are only slightly more weighted. Really, the important part is the review. Show which albums you support, which you don't care for. Don't use a perceived lack of effectiveness as a reason not to even try.

Layout of the site.  90% collabs on the left side, 10% users on the other side.

Well, yes, there is that. And I'm not a big fan, either. It gets really long on the left on a few. But all the reviews from everyone exist still, despite some being bumped off by newer ones.

How about this: quit claiming victim status, write a bunch of well-thought-out, quality reviews and you can attain collab status. Heck, I become a prog reviewer while still sounding something like a moron.

Generally, you must review at least 30 albums/live material etc. This is only a base, and obviously you should review more. The more accomplished and varied your reviews are, the more likely you will get an invite.

I reviewed about 100-150 things and then thought, "Huh, I want to edit some of these. Let's see if I can manage to advance!" And it just kinda went through. Some people really have to grovel for it, though. Or you can pay an existing prog reviewer to put a good word in for you. Wink

Looking at your review, it's a fantastic one. If you have plenty of spare time to put in to reviewing albums, you would make a splendid addition to the collaborator ranks.

I think I must be the only guy on PA who is a big fan of PT, DT, and Opeth, so I eagerly await this release. My choice for lineup?

Akerfeldt: Lead vocals (on some tracks) and lead guitar
Wilson: Lead vocals ( on some tracks) , rhythm guitar and keyboards
Portnoy: Drums and backing vocals
Hello, mirror. So glad to see you, my friend. It's been a while...

I like all three, thought I don't really love any of them at the moment. My choice:

Akerfeldt: drum programming and artwork
Wilson: synthesizers, programming
Portnoy: autotuned vocals

Yep. I hope they form a progressive techno outfit.

This project has been on the shelf for at least 5 years now. I almost forgot about it. I can't wait to hear the finished results.
