On the Peter Gabriel Live DVD that I have, at one point he comments that they are going to play an old song that was written back when both he and Tony Levin still had hair.

Hardly mainstream... I had never heard of them before she mentioned them.  I think I have the correct band... this band don't quite sound like what she was playing... but almost similar enough to presume it is the same band.
