I'm at that wonderful stage of life where I can offend anyone and claim I'm just being a student. But also then dress smart and act snobbish enough to fit in with the elite crowd.

The benefits of being a uni student.

Just starting Introduction.
It's fun to hear a different version of Yog Sothoth.

Sort of, but Ben's response used gutter speak/street slang not to be found in public from the snooty elite.  "Dude this f**king wine is f**king so good for the soul"  "Like dude you are so f**king rite" "No sh*t Sherlock this rosetta is da bomb".

I choose to speak/type like that because I'm from NZ, it's socially acceptable to be a meathead. The anti-intellectual strain in our society runs deeper than just language.

BTW, currently listening to a short little pop song titled The Ocean from a band called Galleon.  You may have heard it on your local pop radio station, since the song clocks in at 42 minutes it would be awfully hard to not tune into the station and at least catch a part of it.

From a fellow meathead, I have no f**king problem with it.  Or at least I didn't used to have a problem with it before I became an old fart and had to learn to use more proper adjectives.  (like frickin'Wink)

I shouldn't speak like that, but I have become lazy, and somewhat disillusioned with the haughty intellectual culture university forces you into.

Oh man, another "Prog and Intellegence" thread, and the OP has already brought Nietzsche into the argument. Nietzsche is good to read and to quote, but you can't rely on his thoughts as fact. People forget that he went raving mad.

But come on, he's so intelligent. As a proof, he listens to prog. Nobody can deny that he's intelligent.
We are so superior! Shocked
