I have to report the unfortunate passing of bassist Enrique Jardines of Absolute Zero.

Sad news indeed.

With the loss of Pip Pyle, that means this brings them down to one member left.

And Henners, I don't dislike AMMMusic.  I quite like it.  But it is hard to conquer, yes.

James, how are you?

This is sad news indeed, I treasure my Cashing Icons disc. I might have to knock my next door neighbours off their rockers with 'Stutter Rock' in commemoration.

If only I had a stereo in this flat...

I'll have to listen to it via headphones.

I'm good, I guess.  I'm living by myself now.  It's quiet but I like it.  I need more visitors though!

I'm still obsessed by Jean Louis.  I cannot get over how amazing their debut album is!

Don't make your ears bleed ;)

I'll visit you in two years time, I promise!

Too true I picked up Jean Louis on your recommendation.

I wasn't sure what you'd think of it, actually.  It's got a groove to it throughout and I know you like your minimalism.

It's just one of those albums... they're supposed to be releasing another.  It's recorded but I am not sure when it'll be released.

I fear though that it may not be as amazing.

Very sad. As good as Pip Pyle was, he was never an integral member of the band, so working with another drummer would have been conceivable. I guess this must be the end - time to spin Crashing Icons in memory of a truly wonderful band.

Indeed.  Same here.  I've had a break from it for a month or so and have returned to it again and it's actually impressing me more now!

My favourite track has also changed.  It's now Zakir, rather than Tranche.

Haha. Mine is still airbus, it's the first track I heard by them and what prompted me to buy the album to begin with. However, every song is golden to me except for the pointless untitled tracks.

Maximator is too short.

I like those untitled tracks.  They remind me of Battles.

I don't dislike them, I just don't see the point. ZAKIR PLAYS!

The groove on Zakir always gets me then there's the jazz interlude and then back to the onslaught again.

I'm always bopping my head to it... not a good sight whilst I'm driving though!

I always play air bass to it.  I also love bumping this when I pull into the college. LOL

I love the bass playing on it.  As much as I love Aymeric's trumpet playing, the album just wouldn't be so amazing without the awesome bass and drums!

Aislinn, my mistake.

I went to school with a girl called Aisling, hence my mistake.

Further news about the passing of Enrique Jardines by Belgian musician (and member of Canterbury-affiliated band The Wrong Object) Michel Delville:

It seems he died on the 22nd.  I have only found out today.  Many apologies for the delay.

Has anyone heard this?
