Sometimes I actually really enjoy that album... it's a guilty pleasure of mine. I was really into Green Day 4 or 5 years ago, but American Idiot is still very good for a pop/punk album (two genres that I usually immensely dislike). Some of the songs annoy the sh*t out of me, but there are some really stellar tracks on that album. |

American Idiot is actually a first listen for me. It actually sounds pretty good. I am not ashamed to admit that I like Green Day. I'd just not got around to getting this album until now. I'll have to sit down and read the words one of these days to get a better gist of the story. It kinds of reminds me a little bit of the Paul Simon rock opera. |
