I have had my say on the outcome of this.  I will continue to visit the thread as I am sure the families of the victims are not finished with their work.  There's a resource that may be of value to anyone following the thread.

This is a legit site to the best of my knowledge.  If it's not, please admins delete this post.  I am invariably shocked when I type in my zip code.

Thanks  for you input.   I really appreciate it.

Chelsea King's public memorial was today 13 months to the day that Amber went missing. Amber's parents were in attendance and the crowd was asked to have a moment of silence for Amber as well.  Mo was cleaning out brush at this park today to remove the possibility of people hiding in the foliage like what happened to Chelsea.

Stacy, her Mother and I were out finding her out finalizing the place where her wake will be held after her private burial on the 26th.  I can't believe we are trying to make these plans for a 14 year old kid.  Her public memorial will be held on the 27th at the Escondido High School Football field at 1 PM PST.

Oh Brian, I'm so so sorry to hear about Amber.  I guess in some ways this now allows the family to mourn properly, but I was so hoping she'd come back home alive.

Please give your wife a huge hug for me.. and I will be praying for her and her family at this time.

M@x Thank you so much.  Thanks for letting this be here and for all the great people on this site who contributed a thought and feeling to me and to all of Amber's family.

I asked the Admins, Jim Garten specifically, to re-sticky the thread so I could capture all of it and put it into a PDF file for the Mother and Father.  If nothing else it might bring a little awe that their little girl's story could touch so many people around the world.

Admins,

I have captured this thread now so if you wish to release it you may at your convenience.   Once we have more info on the investigation I will start a new thread.  We have moved our slogan from Bring Amber Home to Justice For Amber.

Hug your child tonight or your mother, father, uncle aunt or grandparent and think of Amber when you do.
Thank you everyone.

PS
Just wanted to let you know this turned into a 347 page document with 44,000 words.

I had to ppost this one last thing This video by Wayne Brubaker was played at Amber's public memorial last Saturday. For those of you who have followed this story, prayed ,shared your thoughts, passed on emails and links for the last year. May I present to you Miss Amber Dubois. You will even hear Amber towards the end although none of us had any inclinations she would be a singer. :-) Wayne this is wonderful.

Jim and Micky you are most welcome. I thought all of you (and me) needed something positive after thirteen months of grief.  Smile I love this video and can't wait to get a high resolution copy of it.  The music fits the segments and the end with the song she was singing (Beautiful One recorded by  Jeremy Camp) over the candlelight memorial on the 8th was stunning in my opinion.  Being at the memorial the other day we were stiing to close to get the effect of it on the big screens when the band played Beautiful One.  In fact I can't wait to get a video of the entire day.  When I do I want to pull some things out to share with you that were not played by the media.

wow.  CryHug

i'm really in the mood to launch into a rant about predators and what should happen to them, but for the respect of this thread, I won't.

one more time Brian, my thoughts are with you.

^ Jammun Hug

I think we are lucky to have this record of her.  We spent last night digging through Stacy's pictures and found whole bunch more.  Finnforest my hope in posting the link was to try and introduce her to you all instead of the newspaper and court information.  We will all hear more about that soon. More than we ever would care to know.  and believe me I can't watch it without the tears flowing either but there are also a lot of smiles too.
For now just share with us that this beautiful girl has touched many of us but she was, in the end,  just a girl with all the wonderful and not so wonderful  things that come with it.

^ As mentioned previously, I have a daughter.  As I viewed the tribute, I realized I have all of those photos, the same ones, except of course it's my daughter in the camera's eye.  Which is of course why it tears at the heart.  Hence my response to it.  I had the good fortune to attend daughter's college graduation commencement ceremonies two weeks ago.  Mobilize the forces; fight the good fight.

Really heartbreaking, I found myself crying.

I don't have the patience of Finn, I really believe predators have lost their right to live.

Amber and her family are in my prayers.

My belated and deepest sympathy to you, Brian, and to all who loved Amber.

Reading this thread for the past year brought me to tears more than once, and has reinforced and driven home just how precious my own teenaged daughter is to me.

The sorrow and horror related here have also prompted discussions with my daughter about her safety and the need  to be vigilent and aware when out (and my family will be far from alone here in reacting that way), so you should know that some good -- perhaps even great good -- has resulted from Amber's tragic loss.

Be strong -- you are not alone in your pain. Hug

Thank you Iv'an and Peter.
Iv'an I tend to agree with you.  Very least locked away for life.

Peter, I hope Amber's story will teach a lot of us that while most of us are pretty decent people there Is that small percentage that are not.  Some of things we have heard is tell your child if it doesn't feel right then it probably isn't among not going out alone.  Thanks for sharing a positive for all of us.

Saw in the paper today that the a-hole pleaded guilty to both murders.  DA took the death penalty off the table to get the guilty plea.  I don't know what evidence they had but it seemed they could have pushed for the death penalty.  Let's just hope he never gets out, except feet first.
