I agree, but there are certain lyricists who make me pay attention.

I like Aphex Twin's more aggressive material.

more aggressive material? Like RDJ/ICBYD or SAW1?

The two former, also Drukqs.

RDJ was cool, but the only song I really loved was 4. ICBYD didn't really impress me much, and I don't have Drukqs, I've heard it's not that great.

I usually just go on and state the name of whatever band I'm obsessed with at the time, and wait until someone knows them. I've had a trolling session (pickup line; hey baby, wanna make bricks?) that turned into a 4-hour conversation Wink

and fare thee well.

Well that is just opinion. I like it because it's very eclectic, and has a few pretty good songs. Overall I like his AFX stuff better than his Aphex Twin stuff.

I wanted to go on and just type random characters like "klasdfjipawf3-0ujfa'[09ui=" and see what people do.

I freaking love VDGG.

My favourite band as well.
I've listened to Still Life today. I listen to this album at least twice a week LOL
And that you've quoted is my favourite song by VdGG with Man-Erg, La Rossa, Pilgrims, Undercover Man, Scorched Earth and A Plague.
And I've seen that song live (Childlike Faith) Big smile

If I went to a VDGG concert, I would probably have my face melted off before it ended.

Best show I've ever seen, followed by Rouge Ciel, Ensemble SuperMusique and Waters (maybe)

Never heard of those artists (except for Waters of course.)  I doubt that any of them could be better than VDGG, though.  I'm sure seeing "Childlike Faith" played live was an awe-inspiring experience.
