You probably do. It's a good album (that's coming from someone who doesn't like Post-Rock)

Really?  I thought you've said you liked GY!BE and Sigur Ros in the past.

Well, I though F# was pretty good, and Slow Riot and LYSF were alright, but I'm not sure GYBE is my thing. I do like post rock, but I think they take the whole slow-crescendo dynamic a bit too far, to patience-testing levels.

Also: anybody know any bands similar to Tortoise? They are rapidly becoming one of my favorites.

Only band I love. Mono is kind of cool too. Sigur Ròs, sometimes.

That's all.

how much do you have to review or whatever to be a collab Prog Reviewer?

To become a Collab is about voting on bands, writing bios and knowing a sub-genre well.
To become a Prog Reviewer, I don't really think it's about the quantity, but the quality of the work. If you have both quantity and quality, then it's very good.
If you want to become Prog Reviewer, you should ask an Admin, maybe they just haven't noticed your work, and they'll surely evaluate your case and let you know.

Like Gabe said, to be a collab doesn't depend on reviews, but that you display a good amount of knowledge about a particular subgenre(s) and such.

If it had to do with reviews Gabe wouldn't be a collab.

Neither would I, especially on the ZART...look at how many reviews I have for albums in the RIO/Avant/Zeuhl genres...1 2. LOL

Yeah. One two stars and a half album, and a solid four and half stars one.

For those of you who are interested in the avant-free-jazz/rock side of things, you can download Barnacled's first album here: http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Barnacled/Live_At_Hive/

I should probably try to get into some RIO- I really like Univers Zero, though all I have heard is Heresie. I tried Henry Cow a few times, but it never really "grabbed" me. Maybe I just need to focus more- I rarely like bands upon first impression. PFM bored me at first, now Per un Amico is a top 10 album for me.
