Not only it is ugly, it has several flaws, like missing arms and legs. And to think they used to have some of the best album covers Cry

I tis pretty vile isnt it?

this is what I found out -----------------to quote Wikipedia

"'The computer-generated cover art for the album was provided by David Patchett, but he asked to be removed from the credits because he was not satisfied with the result. The version used was actually a prototype provided by Patchett, but the band decided to use it in its incomplete form. Upon close inspection, one can note several of what appear to be errors; the small infant/dwarf to the right appears to be suspended in midair with his/her ankle sunk into the side of the wolf. The other small person to the left is also standing on the toes of a man, and the woman directly to the right of Eddie (center) seems to have some disfiguring on the fold of her elbow. The woman to the right of the foreground also has a long, misshapen neck.

When the cover art was first revealed on the Internet, many Iron Maiden fans believed that the band was playing a prank. It has been the cause of much controversy amongst fans and is generally quite disliked.[1] Images of the album's cover briefly circulated as an Internet meme as it was ridiculed by many fans and casual observers alike."

I still remember the moment when I first saw the cover, I was absolutely sure it must be a joke, but well LOL Using this cover was the single worst decicion of their entire career if you ask me.

Otherwise there have been lots and lots of very good covers is this thread Wink

I kinda like it.

Most of The Flower Kings album covers are pretty bland and ugly.  The only one that I like is Paradox Hotel.  (I've never listened to any full albums by them, though.  This is just from surfing around PA.)

I've always thought Hatfield's The Rotter's Club cover was hideous. Also- every album cover by Moving Gelatine Plates. I think the album cover should be a reflection of the music- this aids in sales. What appears in my head when I listen to Hatfield isn't a woman lolly gagging on the floor.

Oh well. I am often hypnotized by the album covers in my brother's room of various hardcore punk bands. A lot of them are very beautiful. Ironic.

I know this is technically Prog-related, but if it counts, then I think we have a winner (or loser):

That's very similar to a Karmakanic cover, I believe LOL So indeed I didn't bother to check them out.

Now that you say this... the album could have been called "Who's The Boss In The Police Department" LOL

Those covers were abominable - so lazy and no thought at all.

These came immediately to mind as lame covers.

Toltec.  I don't even like this one in any regard.

Samadhi and Novalis' first album.  I love both these, but what ungiving covers.

Why must my spell-checker continually underline the word "prog"?
