In the earth to be brought back in bits and pieces to the ecosystem, or up in flames and then stuffed into the earth for direct fertilization of the ground.

Life is for the living here and now methinks.

^ That's pretty much it - not reincarnation, just recycling.

I think the Bible says something like this:

Do you mean the true meaning of the Bible is: "Day-o, day come and me wan' go home"?
Well, if my confessor learned that...

We appear to be the only mammals that know we're gonna die (gulp) and this very unpalatable fact can give the humanoid critter a rather melancholic slant on certain things. I don't believe in reincarnation for the same reason I don't acknowledge that there could be a kernel of furry old me that is irreducibly eternal (like a soul or such celestial malarkey)

I guess you just have to find those wonderful things that keep yer eyes moist as they say, and take joy itself in the things that bring you happiness. For me, music, literature, humour, soccer, animals, good food, red wine, guiness and the unimpeachable beauty of womankind makes it all worthwhile. (Damn... I should have put the drinks after the chicks)

Since the brain is meat and the "soul" is simply electric impulses I believe that when we die our energy disperses and we cease to exist. Your body feeds the plants and the worms and your energy simply goes elsewhere.

I believe we will all be reborn as non-rabbits at the planet Gorp, where Ian Anderson is worshipped as a god.

Seriously, I’m an agnostic. I don’t rule out the possibility of an existence after death, but I don’t buy the talk about Heaven and Hell.

We might not be there to share it
if eternity’s a jest
But I think that I can bear it
if the next life is the best

I say nothing is nothing

Not believing in hell won't change anything. If it exists it is what it is... Its all a matter of knowing where you are going through faith and belief.\\

But seeing this is a fun area i can say

yes that is correct in some extent that humans are probably some of the only mammals that knows that, but then this comes to mind.

Elephants is known to when they are close to die (as the are Older around 70 years)  the will go on a lonesome walk,  and walk, and walk, and walk ......... til they die of age. so maybe Humans and Elephants are the only mammals that know's they will die.

I know. Elephants die in certain places and

well... wikipedia states

Elephants are the only other species upon Earth other than humans and Neanderthals[21] known to have any recognizable ritual around death. They show a keen interest in the bones of their own kind (even unrelated elephants that have died long ago). They are often seen gently investigating the bones with their trunks and feet, and remaining very quiet. Sometimes elephants that are completely unrelated to the deceased will still visit their graves.[6] When an elephant is hurt, other elephants (also even if they are unrelated) will aid them.[10]"

weird?

We ain't goin' nowhere.  We're already in Hell for 1/3 of our existence (work).  We are in Heaven for another 1/3 (sleep).  The other 1/3 I suppose is what the Catholics call purgatory.
Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

And believing in Heaven won’t necessarily make it exist. Trust me, I’m three years older and wiser than you LOL. Anyway, Belinda always seemed a bit tipsy …
