That is weird! I don't spend nearly that much on music and I don't even have to pay for my food! Also, when are we going to stop with the f**king metal emoticon?

I quit using the new emoticon earlier, it was funny for about a day to put it next to everything but now it's annoying.

I don't pirate music, either. I just don't feel the need to own 3 new albums every week because I don't listen to music constantly. I live with my parents, and they're very nice. I figure the money I'm saving is going to go mostly towards paying for the college they probably would be paying for anyway, so I don't feel bad about it.

Woo! I scored as Martin Heidegger and Friedrich Nietzche.

Quote You Scored as Friedrich NietzscheYou are Friedrich Nietzsche. You are a sweet philosopher who believed that humans are caught up in "herds" and need to break free and be individuals. Also, there are no standards to judge against, because "God is dead." You also probably suffer from a mental illness, probably due to some form of an untreated STD, and will most likely suffer a mental collapse.

I don't have an STD though.

I should hope I'd be either Albert Camus or Bertrand Russell.

You Scored as Jean-Paul SartreYou are Jean-Paul Sartre. You could also be called a humanist, because you believe that humanity has the power to change their condition at any time; no one is born a coward, they only choose to be one. You also like open relationships that are far from monogamous, and you possibily have a lazy eye.

I don't have a lazy eye. But i'd say that was relatively accurate. Although I'm probably a little more pessimistic than what I got.

Kierkgaard! To be fair, I don't think I understood a lot of the questions. "There are two layers in the world, the ontic and the ontological"!?

I answered the middle for those ones.

"Existence precedes essence" means that a human exists first before they have meaning in life. Meaning is not given, and must be achieved. With objects -- say a knife for example, there is some creator who conceives of an idea or purpose of an object, and then creates it with the essence of the object already present. The essence of what the knife will be exists before the actual knife itself. Sartre, who did not believe in God, believed that if there is no God to have conceived of our essence or nature, then we must come into existence first, and then create our own essence out of interaction with our surroundings and ourselves. With this comes serious implications of self-responsibility over who we are and what our lives mean. For this reason, meaning is something without representation or bearing in anything or anyone else. It is something truly unique to each person – separate, independent

Interesting stuff. And yes, it is from wikipedia.
