I was starting to download the Lüger album linked to in the Suggest New Bands section.  Psych team seems to think it's closer to Krautrock than psych, but either way I'm interested.

I just did that as well. 1.5 hours to download though, I shouldn't have picked high quality files. LOL

Ah, did you go with FLAC?  That's what I chose.

No, I went with high quality VBR mp3s, with my internet connection it would take all night if I went FLAC.

Ah, OK.  I used Penn State's internet to download the files, already done.  I'm going to download the HQ VBR files as well for my Zune.

5.2 kbps baby.

I thought New Zealand had the worst internet LOL

Having a wireless connection stretching about 100 yd. doesn't help.

It's tied for second favorite ADII album for me so far, but Phallus Dei gets first for sure.

Trying to discover some new promising artists presently, but you wouldn't understand; you don't even know what good music is. Wink

So far I'm getting a good impression from Lüger, Matt, I feel like you'll enjoy it as well.

That hurts, especially considering our taste are mostly the same except for parts of chamber rock and avant-rock Cry

I need to get that, too. I only have a few albums by CAN, the second from Neu, and one album by Ash Ra Tempel, from the whole of Krautrock.

Neu!'s first is my favorite of theirs.  Krautrock is such a diverse genre, really.  When I was first starting to explore it, I expected everything to sound like the first two albums I listened to from the genre (Tago Mago and Phallus Dei).  I was in for a big surprise.  LOL

Yes you do, except for liking a lot of minor bands which I'm not interested in (which doesn't mean they're bad) and for overrating/liking a certain local band (which is also normal, I'm also a fanboy of my local bands). Smile

Alex, you may want to check out Lüger as well if you haven't already, they're giving me a nice Krautrock/Psych vibe.

If I end up getting a 1TB external hard drive before too long, I might re-rip most of my albums in FLAC or some other lossless format.  Me likey being a wannabe audiophile. LOL

Wait, now I see that you were the second person to respond.  Nevermind, you probably already have checked them out. Tongue
