Linus, you just post a new review right? how many you got now...?
114...so in no way a top reviewer.
We are near man... I think I have like 90 reviews... but well, I'm about to read yours...
It's a good one man... I don't know nothing about him but seems like something interesting, if it wasn't VDGG... well, I still have too much to check about prog really...

It's a great album. And I'm not a VdGG fanboy, which gives me some credibility saying that

^ As an absolute Hammill/Der Graaf Generator fanboy: two comments
Hammill solo =/= Van Der Graaf Generator... I mean, other than one track off Silent Corner and one off Chameleon, most any of the reviews trying to grope for lost VDGG classics seem to miss the point (particularly with Modern, I think). I prefer that album to a lot of Van Der Graaf Generator...
Comment three: damn good review, as always, Linus.

Danke sehr.
I've been meaning to give some "modern" Hammill a try as well.
Can you recommend any album in particular?
Tough call, of his most recent stuff, I have the last three: I think they're all pretty good albums; Singularity is perhaps the most representative of those, Incoherence maybe the best, Thin Air is something of a mood-based departure.
If you can get hold of the later version of House of Usher (I, to my frustration, can't), I've heard that and it is pretty breathtaking, if not, I'd maybe go with Singularity... has a decidedly broader range of stuff than Incoherence.
