Like...
1. Meshuggah
2. Opeth when cookie monster sings
3. Any other metal album where cookie monster sings.

Fair enough. Believe me, I used to hate growls, but the more I listened to them, the more I accepted them as a sometimes necessary aesthetic element of the music. I still don't really prefer them, however on most tasteful occaisions a good growl is a kin to a cathartic experience for me.

That's how I felt too.

I still don't like the BTBAM-type growls though.

I can take harsh vocals, but growling doesn't appeal to me, not yet anyway.

Scott, even though it'll mess up my bracket, I'll still be sure to root for Oakland on Friday. Thumbs Up
I need to make sure that I get home from work by 2:55 on Friday so that I can watch the game.  It should be over by 3:05 so that I can start working again, but hopefully Oakland will get to wear Cinderella's shoes this year.

I have Pittsburgh beating them and then Minnesota (who will hopefully beat XU), but that would still be pretty cool.

Hopefully they won't get crushed too much. Tongue

I know I'm never likely going to be here those hours.  I don't remember last time I was even awake at that hour of the day.

At this point, most harsh vocals either serve as a wave of distortion over the music or add aesthetic pleasure (when they're good) or sound mechanical, lifeless, and uninspiring (when they're bad). Although when they're bad to me, it's just like listening to bad singing. Peter Hammill for example. Wink

Nonetheless, I'm not too worried, I got an A on my last one. I'll make sure I get time to study in. I am half-assing it right now, so that's something to start with.

Lucky you, haha.

For Tuesdays and Thursdays I normally have to be awake by 6:45, but if I'm going to get up earlier and study, I need to get up at 5:00something.

Thank you, King of Spoilers; I'm pretty sure that will be the only exciting thing happening in that episode.
LOL It isn't. It's just a funny incident.

Also, Rico, watch:

LOL

But there is no explanation - at least not one requiring from three episodes up to five seasons.

On Monday/Wednesdays I get up at the same time. I definitely could do without waking up that early.

Nice.

That would be awful studying music though, so I'm not going to hear that right now. I'm hearing Aphex Twin.

Maybe the Island is really just made out of cake, therefore making it a lie.
