ATTENTION: What follows is a serious question!

I remember when I was child about 10 or 15 years ago I guess I saw this anime show with a really scary scene on train where there were ghosts or dead people or something like that and then this other scene in some sort of surgery room where some evil guy was about to cut one of the main character's arm or leg of with a circular saw does anyone remember the name of the show?
