I've had a listen of Obzen recently, and I wasn't impressed at all. I think was expecting something like a mix of Gojira and Blotted Science.

Really? That's a shame; it's a great album.

Yeah, well, I'm not the kind of guy to give up after the first spin I have a problem with rhythm-based music, I don't find it entertaining enough. For example, I didn't like Kraut at all for many years (but I've recently managed a breakthrough). The most kickass metal I've heard yet is Blotted Science. They're amazingly badass. How can anyone be so progressive and technical at that volume and level of distortion !?

Kraftwerk is mindblowingly amazing, Schulze is pretty damn good, and Merzbow is good.

Yeah, but that is quite a change in dynamics.

Hey Jampa! I absolutely love Graveyard Mountain Home, and I really want his first album. I'm going to get it off iTunes, because I can't find a decently priced CD anywhere.
As far as GHM goes, I think it borders on the edge of being a masterpiece, but doesn't quite make it. Its a great album in every aspect, but it has a few too many tracks which don't seem very memorable to me. I do love it though, and definitely need to get his two other albums, and also his solo albums as Kevin Moore.
Its definitely on my to-review list, after I finish my review for motW's Leaving Your Body Map
How are you? |
Great man, well, with symptoms of a cold still but OK... I'm thinking on making a review about Animals of Pink Floyd but maybe until monday... weekends are for bands rehealsals and to stay away from computers...

Weird...
I send messages to artists for help with biographies. They all answer and say they're very glad and that they'd love to help. And disappear

Yes, with the volume muted. That's how you listen to Merzbow.
